I've been here 2-3 times now and I enjoy each time. The drinks are amazing and with the cozy establishment you can see them making them right there. The food is hearty. Admittedly I have no frame of reference for Egyptian food elsewhere but the food is rich, full of flavor, and something you want to prepare to come hungry for. I believe it's the owner of the business, but there's a woman who is always there and very friendly. She'll usually come around to make sure your meal is right or suggest something if you want a recommendation. It's a great place for people with dietary restrictions - I've come here with vegans and people with gluten intolerance and both parties have been able to find several options.

Been wanting to try this Egyptian restaurant for a while now, and was excited to find the time to try it out. A cozy atmosphere with less of a sit-down vibe, and more of a to go vibe with its to go screen by the door and QR code menus on the table, but it seemed owner was present so we felt sufficiently welcomed by her warm and friendly service. She was able to identify what would suit us as first-time customers and really helped us navigate this menu. She also took our order for us, which was kind. We were able to take advantage of their weekday happy hour (ends at 6pm) where all alcohol was 50% off, including full wine bottles. Thoroughly enjoyed the red we ordered, Avalon. The hummus was excellent and we were excited to try the falafels that were made from Fava beans. We were provided extra naan too! The mixed grill platter was an excellent introduction to how well they grill their meats. The chicken was flavorful and tender. The beef was tasty and juicy. The potatoes were good enough as a meal of their own. Would definitely come back to try more of their menu!

I had such a wonderful experience. In addition to the beautiful decoration and calm music, Elhami was very helpful and comforting in navigating the menu. I got the koshary (pictured) and a side of falafel with the apricot juice and baklava for dessert. All was incredible and special kudos to the falafel. Perfectly crispy on the outside, moist on the inside, super flavorful, and not greasy at all. Thank you!!

Yum! So ready for my next visit and I want to try breakfast! We had dinner- we shared the large platter for two. It was plenty for three of us! We got to try a little of everything. The hummus and dips were perfect! I loved the berg and lamb kabobs. My friend tried the lamb shank and said it was perfect! The rice was yummy too! The chicken with Fava beans was so flavorful! We had a dish with rice, pasta, chick peas and onions in a tomato sauce- I can't recall the name but it was such a unique and tasty item! Get the lime and mint drink- the best! Service was friendly and the restaurant is cute. Nice little outdoor area too.

My friend was raving about this restaurant, so I thought I'd go check it out. He had previously had a chicken wrap there that he really enjoyed. We went on a Sunday afternoon and got seated right away in the outside patio area. We were greeted when we walked in, and our server provided us some good recommendations. To start off, we went with the chef's appetizer platter. We got a mixture of the dolmas, fava beans, and baba ganoush. Although this was all really tasty, everything was mushed together so it was hard to tell which one I was eating. I probably would've preferred them to be somewhat separated on the plate. For our entrees, we went with the Grilled chicken and kofta platter. Both of these were really good, and I liked the sides it came with. The prices were reasonable and the portion sizes were decent. I'd definitely come back if I'm in the area, but I don't know if I'd go out of my way to come here either.

Tried this for the first time last night and it was so good! Very affordable for huge portions. My husband and I tried the eat like an Egyptian meal for two people and it was so good. I thoroughly enjoyed the bean dip and the rice bowl. Those were our favorites. I can't wait to come back and try more.

Loved the food. Had the Lamb Fattah and Kunafe. The Lamb dish consisted of Lamb Shank, rice with a garlic tomato sauce and crispy pita bread. The lamb is cooked to perfection and flavor is on point. The rice itself was quite nice. I wasn't a fan of the sauce and wish it came on the side. Personally I am not much of a sauce person. The crispy pita added a nice crunch. The Kunafe was quite good, the portion size was huge - can easily suffice 2-3 people, if not 4! It was very fresh. The inside is well decorated and there is a very nice seating space outside as well. Would love to try coffee/tea and other menu options in future.

My review needed an update because the food at Fava Pot is so flavorful and delicious. Service is great too. We ordered online and there is absolutely no difference on the quality and quantity of the food. Our order was packaged well and we received it in good order and timeliness. Highly recommend!

Unassuming Egyptian restaurant with a homey-feel, and both authentic and delicious food! First of all, I say that there is a "homey feel" here because the woman who is the chef comes around to all of the tables to greet you (with her hairnet still on). The space is fairly small, but nothing too crazy The menus are on a QR code, and you order directly from your phone The menu is comprised of a wide range of Egyptian food, and I had never heard of a lot of the different options To be honest I am not quite sure what I ordered, but whatever it was it was delicious. If I remember correctly, it was a "classic Egyptian dish" but the best way that I can describe it is that it was kind of like a macaroni pie Huge portions

This was my first time trying Egyptian food and it was honestly pretty good. We ordered takeout, so I don't have much of an opinion regarding the interior. The service was ok, but they forgot one of my friends meals entirely. In terms of food, it was overall good. I ordered the Lamb Chops while I tried one of my friends Lamb Shank. The Lamb Chops were cooked very well, as the meat was flavorful, tender, and juicy. The Lamb Shank was unfortunately well done, so it was chewy and not as soft as it could've been. The grape leaves, tzatziki sauce, and salad were all good as well. Overall, pretty good, but not as amazing as I thought it would be.
